Liberty Training Group is proud to offer HR 218 training and qualification to our course offerings.

On May 14th 2009 Liberty Training Group was certified and recognized by Oregon's Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) to conduct firearms training and issue DPSST HR 218 Firearms Qualification Cards.

Firearms Qualification Cards are issued only to retired law enforcement officers that successfully complete the Oregon Practical Qualifications Course.

HR 218 courses are by appointment only. We host our local classes in Albany, OR. If you have a range facility in your area, we can travel to your location. Please contact us for details.

Meets State of Oregon's DPSST requirements for HR 218. This is the DPSST course of fire and is administered by our DPSST certified instructors.

• Serviceable handgun chambered for a defensive caliber. (.380, 9mm, .38 special, .357 magnum, .357 Sig, .40 S&W, 10mm, .45 ACP. Call with any questions).
• 75 rounds of new ammunition.
• At least 3 quality magazines or speed loaders.
• Strong side belt holster or your concealed carry method.
• Double magazine/speed loader belt pouch.
• Eye Protection.
• Ear Protection.
• Ball Cap.
• Knee pads (Optional).

 President Bush signs HR 218 into law.

HR 218 is also known as the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004.

On July 22, 2004, President George W. Bush signed into legislation a new federal law, which exempts law enforcement officers from state laws prohibiting carrying concealed firearms.

The law allows “qualified” law enforcement officers, current or retired, to carry a concealed firearm in any state without a concealed handgun permit.
