Thank you for visiting Liberty Training Group. We're here to service your Oregon CHL, firearms and unarmed self defense training needs.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive training in a safe manner that is based on current and relevant techniques at a reasonable price. Our focus is to give you the skills to avoid a potentially lethal force encounter by employing the taught mindset of avoidance. In the event that avoidance can’t be used, we will give you the skills necessary to end the confrontation as quickly and effectively as possible.

We've got a lot of training opportunities coming up so to give you a better understanding of our philosophy and determining which class would give you the best bang for your buck, we've put together a guide for you below.

Beginning shooters:

Our curriculum is specially prepared for the beginning shooter to expose you to the basics of firearms use. These principles include, but not limited to, taking the fear out of the use of firearms, mindset, situational awareness, safe handling, firearms operation, nomenclature, basic marksmanship skills i.e. stance, grip, sight picture, sight alignment, trigger press and follow through. By the end of a basic course you’re knowledge firearms will be increased allowing you to have more comfort and confidence in their use.

Intermediate shooters:

The intermediate courses are designed to build on the skills of basic shooters. These classes will introduce principles including, but not limited, to use of a firearm from a holster, multiple target drills, shooting while moving, malfunction clearing, increased distance engagements and decision making all while focusing on the proper application of the fundamentals of marksmanship.  Additionally, we will refine the students' situational awareness.

Advanced shooters:

Intermediate shooters will be pushed to the next level. These courses will bring the shooter to the level of unconscious competence in the use of a firearm. This is done through further development of mindset, timed and graded shooting scenarios as well as force on force simulations in a safe and controlled manner. At the satisfactory completion of these courses the shooter will possess the knowledge of skills needed to prevail in a real world, high stress situations.
